This is the best designed luggage scale on the market according to my research, and was a complete Godsend during our recent holiday, as it is is light enough to take with you to weigh cases for the return journey. The weight display appears to be totally accurate according to our experience, no excess baggage charges at all! The horozontal design makes it very easy to weigh even the heaviest and awkward shaped cases.
The only negative is, as other people have commented, is that the quality could be better, and the battery housing does keep falling off. To be fair, I haven't asked them for a replacement, but by the sound of it they all seem to be the same. As it was so reasonably priced compared to others on the market, and because we were so pleased with everything else about the item, we have just taped the battery housing on to secure it.
We have knocked a star rating off for this, and apart from that it's a very natty little gizmo!

The scales were exactly as described and were amazingly accurate when compared with the airline check-in scales. I noted the other comments about the battery cover coming off too easily so the first thing I did after fitting the batteries was to tape to cover in place. No more trouble there. The scales more than paid for themselves on my family holiday by enabling us to keep the bags within the weight allowance. Highly recommended.

Once bitten as they say.
I was 1.5kg overweight when travelling back from Milan with Ryanair and had to pay 35Euros!
So the first thing I did when I got back was to investigate scales and lightweight luggage that conforms to their measurements.
I have managed to do both.
These scales are good as you can see the weight directly infront of you by their design.
There is a clip to use through the handle which is secure and everything works a treat.
You may say avoid Ryanair, but that is hard for me as I live in Essex and Stansted is so convenient.
So now I have my perfect bag thanks to Flylite which only weighs 1.5Kg - I am sorted!

This is exactly what I was looking for!! As a frequent flyer with low-cost airlines, I often need to weight my hand luggage before heading to the airport, and this item is really helpful, since it has the digital display on the top, which makes it very easy to read. Great value for money!

This item is very good and does what it is supposed to do. It got me past Ryanair's strict luggage weight rules anyway. From a translation perspective, the user manual is an absolute hoot.
